Sources needed for silk knits, silk jersey fabric. Would like to make some tops and sweater type sets for myself. Cannot find many sources at all for apparel knits, and none for silk knits. Anyone offer suggestions?

Find someone with a knitting machine to knit it for you. Here are a bunch of machine knitting sites.
*Hi Edna, Jean's right; someone with a standard gaugeknitting machine could knit some very nice fabric for you. I'm starting a business (right now) doing just that. I'm not nearly as set up as I'd like but I'd be willing to make some yards for you. Silk and silk blend yarn is only slightly less difficult to find than silk knit fabric. I have one source that stocks a silk and rayon blend that knits up nicely on my machine. Good drape and looks like all silk. It's a matt texture, not shiny. There's an enormous color selection too. If you're interested email me with your address and I can send you a couple of swatches. I can do ribbing and knit/purl textures too. If you like the fabric then we can work on getting you some color cards and pricing.thanks,[email protected]
*LA Fabrics in Toronto (416) 504-6061 - had slinky silk knits, felt like medium weight t-shirt fabric. Approx $60/yard, if memory serves me correctly.
