I recently bought material and decided to make a turtleneck shirt. The material has stretch and would make a great turtleneck IF I can find a pattern for it. I was astonished to find there are no patterns for turtlenecks in any of the books. I was wondering if there have been patterns in the past that have been discontinued, or have pattern companies just ignored this type of shirt? Can anyone help me find a way to get this turtleneck sewn? Thanks for any help I can get.

Kwik Sew has a couple different patterns for turtlenecks, 3262 and 3093.
Dear bobbin ~ I just happened upon this tutorial on the regular Threads site the other day -

I think she simply used a rectangle of fabric, large enough to fold over for the depth and wide enough to go over your head, plus seam allowances.
Good luck to you - and happy cozy turtlenecking!
