Vest Neck Alteration

Julia_Johnson | Posted in The Archives on

Hi I just made a neat vest. I am not that good at making alterations but would like to alter the neck before I make the next vest. Should be simple if one knows what they’re doing. Do I take darts in at the neck line on the back pattern piece? My only problem is the back neckline. Help??

How do I alter a neck on a vest that is about 1 - 1.5" to big. It seems like if I took two darts in it would fit me right. But how do I do that???

*Does the neck stand away from your body? Do you have rounded shoulders or do you stand really, really straight? The answers make a difference in what to do to fix the problem. Could be several different things, or just one simple fix.
