For some of you who have a lot of free time: My friend made a small quilt for her mom’s walker for each holiday. Easter, Christmas, Birthday. She used velcro on straps to attach it to the top and bottom braces. It would generate a lot of discussion in the retirement home or nursing center.

    What a great, cheerful Idea. Even a small flag/banner for special occasions would certainly be cheerful. My girlfriend used to sew gathered fabric tube shaped covers for her aluminum cane. Velcro snugged it up at the top and bottom, and made it easy to remove for washing. She had a black satin one for evening wear, a Christmas one, and an easter one, and often made them to match the outfits she wore. Cathy
