Love thaws a frozen heart!

I made both of these costumes in 2014. Everything except the long sleeve white & mint undershirts where hand sewn. All the detailing on the Anna costume was hand painted with fabric paint. The Elsa costume sleeves were sewn from sheer star patterned fabric. The same fabric was use for her cape. Anna shaw was made with Velcro so it could easily be removed.

I have been making my children’s costumes since my oldest was 1 year old (2009). 3 of the 10 years i have been sewing costumes I’ve used a pattern. Most of the time I just create the pattern myself because they want to be something that is not an easy find. I am self taught and most of every technique I use was learned from trial and error.. a lot of trial and ERROR. 🙂  The best part is seeing my children wear their costumes on Halloween all proud and happy. I would love to win the contest to gain some better techniques in sewing.
