I created a more authentic Elsa than store bought toddler costumes by designing my own pattern and then choosing and layering materials to make it feel luxe. I chose a turquoise sateen then layered an ombré white to navy sparkle netting on top for th ombré effect shown in the cartoon. I then sewed strips of opal sequins to the skirt and hand applied rhinestones to the bodice one by one to give it a decadent super sparkle. My three year old felt like a magical princess and blew all the other Elsas out of the water 🙂
