Carry-all bag
The class was supposed to help you learn how to alter commercial patterns. Our teacher gave us the free pattern for this bag. I had bought some plush fur to make my daughters a coat.. this was for the linning i realized it would be too hot since the outside was going to be Silky furry fleece, and we live in California :P not even on winter this would have been too confty to wear other than from the door to the car and then off!! so i made me this bag it was perfect for it.. sturdy enough not to rip and soft cuddly a la mode punkish.. and was the envy of everyone :D
I altered a bit the pattern added 4 front & back pockets for a total of 12!! the thing was sooo hard to sew it must have been at least 7-9 mm thick i ended up taking off the foot altogether ( i tried the walking foot, the zipper foot i even bought a gadget that is used for sewing through thick inseams nothing worked) but the teacher said i was gutsy and was the best bag out of them all. I was happy and proud! Very easy pattern most of the shapes were rectangles. Would post the measurements and some instrucions if anyone is interested, i made it so much bigger my 5 yr old baby fits in there!! i know... she tried it ;)
