Fleece Coat

I started with Vogue pattern 1129, but modified the drape so that it's attached only at the shoulder (instead of all the way across the waist). I also made the scarf portion (what was originally the drape) shorter so that it would not be longer than the coat if I wanted to wear it un-wrapped. The color is a dark green anti-pill fleece.

The main reason that I modified the pattern was because once I started constructiing the coat, I didn't like the fit/look of the attached drape. The pattern instructions for attaching the drape, and making a collar on the other side were very confusing, so I punted.

Moonbeams Moonbeams writes: I love designing and redesigning. This coat is so simple yet so elegant. I would think it could easily be worn over an evening outfit -- perhaps silk slacks? Yummy.
