Oliver + S Tea Party Playsuit
Made for my grandson. French General fabrics. Vintage buttons: 15¢ for the card of eight! I don't know what they are made of, but they could very well be plastic. The pattern did not call for lining in the pants, but the fabric seemed a bit too lightweight to hang properly. So I lined the pants and elected to finish the yoke (bodice) edge with a Hong Kong finish. I serged the yoke to pants/pants lining seam and then just tacked the yoke lining at the side seams. This clean finished the insides without having to turn under the yoke lining and slip stitch it to the yoke seam. I keep hand sewing to a minimum because it is hard on my eyes and my hands! Size 3.
