I made this ensemble by combining 2 different patterns. The jacket was created using an o-o-p McCall’s pattern 5816. The skirt was made primarily from Vogue 8583. However it became too heavy with the two layers of fabric so I reconstructed it by taking the inside layer out and cutting the bottom off and sewing it to the top to look like 2 layers but not as heavy. They were sewn using a jacquard material.
