I always visit local fabric stores while traveling. This collage of French fashion magazine covers is upholstery weight blended poly/wool. Fabric was in the store window in Tours, France and was irresistible. 3 meters was just enough for this 3/4 length coat. Can you spot Catherine Deneuve? To perfectly match the 8″ repeat I used a modified Burda pattern with minimum seaming. When traveling, I pack clothing that is one step away from the donation box and just leave it behind in the hotel, this allows plenty of luggage space for fabulous fabric shopping.
