Trench coats seem all the rage now, so I decided it was time for a new one.  I've never seen an embroidered trench coat and thought it might be a good idea.  I used Butterick pattern 5255 Chetta B.  It was challenging.  I've never done a lined pocket and the coat itself was lined with brocade.  I used tone on tone embroidery to highlight the coat.  Altogether it was a fun project to make.
