Begin with a handkerchief or small tea towel...
Fold towel 1/3 of the way down, leaving any decorative edging at the bottom...
Use 5 or 6 cotton balls to stuff for head and tie with ribbon...
Pull the top edges up and tie with ribbon to make the arms...
Finished project, ready for a little tyke in church or a gift for a new bride!

Years ago, in a mother's effort to quite her child in church, she would quickly fashion her handkerchief into a doll, amusing their curiosity long enough to enjoy the sermon. Here is one way to make a pew baby, handkerchief doll!
