I would love to sew my own pants and skirts. My body shape has disintegrated into a mushball…slightly rounded shoulders, sagging breasts, bulging tummy. Find a pattern for that combo! The patterns show all seem to be on reed thin/young and even “women’s” patterns, of which there are too few, are not appealing. I need a 14/16 top – especially the shoulders, and only an 18 (or more) pants size will cover the breach. Is there a pattern designer who shows the clothing MADE and on a human body. I could use the help…and thanks

You need a copy of "Fit for Real People" by Patti Palmer and Marta Alto. They use regular patterns on very real bodies that are definitely not the slender normal model types - and the photography is great.
I wear exactly the same size combo and can tell you I haven't found any commercial patterns that fit. I've had limited success with computer generated patterns. I use a combination of the computer pattern for placing darts and other adjustments, and different sizes from the commercial patterns.
If you are short I did pretty well with Petite Plus pants, but their tops are for busty women, so those won't suit me well.
Take a look at this computer patterns. Especially the ones by Martha Pullen. I think they are good for us "mature ladies".
