The Brother Nouvelle 1500, which I believe is the renamed and refined version of the machine (if not the exact same model--I'm not absolutely positive) was reviewed in Threads, No. 96. Judy Neukam, the reviewer, was very impressed by the machine and feels that it combines the best of industrial-style straight stitching with the ease of a home sewing machine. I think she would highly recommend this for its speed and excellent stitch quality, as well as its ability to handle tricky fabrics easily.
