black silk dress

wlric | Posted in Photo Gallery on

Here is the “little black dress” costume that I made for a dancer. The general discussion about this dress began with #7127.1. The photos were made in front of a mirror, so it may be a little confusing to distinguish the skirt. Also, the photo was taken just before the final shoulder adjustments were made, so the seams were still basted.
This young woman had a very long torso. I had to add 4″ of shoulder pads to my dress form as well as make the waist adjustment of the form.

Very nice!  It looks like the skirt will flare out beautifully when she's dancing.

Thanks, Cynthia. It did move nicely and looked good under lights.
