border prints & eyelet fabric

pyns | Posted in Pattern Discussion on

I am looking for a top pattern for border prints and eyelet fabric with a scalloped edge.I am thinking of hacking a woven top pattern by cutting off slightly above waist level and adding a deep ruffle. How deep should I make the ruffle? Should I cut the ruffle 1 1/2 the length of the bottom of the top?

Hmm, can you take a picture of the pattern you are using and upload it? Or give us a link to the pattern url? That will help us better determine the length that would be best!

    Thank you!

Maybe. McCall's 7542. I would either want shorter tulip sleeves or just aplain elbow length sleeve
