I am ambitiously working on bathtime puppets for my 2 grandsons, a blouse and skirt for my best friend who had to go back to work out of retirement this year, and a tablerunner for my 71 year old widowed sister who just remarried and is in absolute bliss! All of these folks bring great joy to me and I am trying to return the favor! KayGV

What a wonderful way to feel about making gifts. Thank you for sharing that thought.I, too, am sewing gifts for family members, and it occurred to me that I'm getting more pleasure out of the process than they ever will from the results. I'm sewing the same thing for 7 people, and sometimes it seems like an assembly-line. But I'm thinking about each person as I sew his garment, and wonder if it's going to fit, if he'll actually wear it, and finishing seams (without a serger) that I probably wouldn't finish if sewing for myself, because I want it to feel wonderful when worn, for these great guys I love.Merry Christmas.
