What is the difference between talk with us and general discussion? Today, some of the topics in talk with us seem to be general discussion topics.
Now that I am here and posting, I seem to have forgotten the list server administer (senior moment). Vicky? Are we going to have a visit from the Threads editor any day soon?
Would it be possible to put the date of the last post in the recent discussion section, beside the forum member name or the number of replies? I do as another suggested check out first the recent topics and then the recent replies. But when I check the recent discussions – I don’t want miss anything – I find I usually have read them. Not a big deal, but is time consuming.
I am glad that many more people are posting and responding on sewing information. Hopefully more will learn how to wander around. For those of you still struggling, keep trying, it will become clearer to you with usage. Apparently no rippers in the computer room ;-0.
Thanks to all who are contributing. I am a member on a number of different forums but Gatherings is the 2nd one I check daily. I LOVE being able to change the font size, but wonder why grey was chosen as the general print colour. I, for one, appreciate the changes that have occured because of feedback here. We can’t go back, we can only go forward.

Forum Updates
I will certainly pass along your suggestion. I'm sorry if it has been a while since I have checked in, but we have been very busy with production of the Teach Yourself to Sew video series, as well as the other content for the website. I'm glad you are happy with some of the changes we've made. I know it isn't perfect, but we are trying to make the forum better for all of our loyal members. If you have any other suggestions or specific problems, I will pass them along and we will see what can be done.
Thanks,
Vicky
latest site updates
Hi, Vicky. When you get a chance to answer, I have a couple of questions about the updates dated March 12th. I noticed that the updates include choices concerning the order of replies, and for pagination and added bread crumb navigation to the top and bottom of the pages. I'm not seeing bread crumb navigation at the bottom of the pages. I'm still using my preferred browser, Safari, and so I still don't see the Search Function in the header of the pages, either, though I do see it when I go to the Over the Fence site. Maybe my choice of browser is causing the other things to disappear also?
By the way, I like the Teach Yourself to Sew videos and have referred my daughter to them. Very helpful for inexperienced sewers. Well done.
Joan
