End of discussions?

rjf | Posted in General Discussion on

How and when do you guys decide to end a discussion?  In particular, what happened to “Sewing Styles”????

Good Heavens!! I just wrote the first note in this category and when I went back to list, the one I've been participating in had disappeared.  Arrggggh!

Okay, okay....I found "Sewing Styles"  but where's the weaving one?

What you need to do is go to the folder (General discussion, Equipment and Supplies, etc.), and under the title of the folder, you'll see something that says "147 discussions". CLick on this to display all the discussions in that folder.

What happened to "Does anyone weave?" is that it dropped down to below third place, so it didn't come up on the top of the list where you could see it right away. By displaying all the discussions, you should be able to find the one you're looking for. When there's more activity on the board, the discussions often move down the list a bit more quickly and drop out of view somewhat precipitously! We don't usually close or end discussions--we just leave them there to be brought back up by interested parties.

I have noticed that sometimes, while browsing the board, a discussion will appear to have been moved to a different folder. This seems to be just a temporary listing glitch, and the discussion remains where it's been, so the next time you log in it'll show up where you expect it to be.  Haven't quite figured that out yet!

If you're missing anything else, let me know and I'll track it down. Or I'll ask the Systems Operator (SYSOP) to do so.

      Carol
