Finding stretch wovens

Elaray | Posted in General Discussion on

I’ve wanted to make several of the plus size pants from recent Burda WOFs. Most of them have recommended “stretch trouser fabrics”. I’m having problems finding stretch wovens, other than denim, in my local national chain fabric store. I’ve bought pants made from stretch wovens, so I *know* it exists!! Can anyone point me to a source for wovens with lycra or spandex.

Try http://www.emmaonesock.com.  She has great designer fabrics, including a selection of stretch cottons and linens.  Excellent service and reasonable prices.

If it doesn't say just for stretch fabrics only you can use a non stretch.  I usually cut 1" or so on side seam and this will take care of difference in ease requirements.
