heavy trim with light fabric

JenniferArmentrout | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Is there any way I can use heavy trim around my neckline without  messing up my neckline shape if my fabric is light weight (silk) or do I need to have a heavier fabric in order for it to have the weight and stability I desire?

could you use boneing in the neckline and also use a heavier interlining fabric and use the silk as a non weight bearing outer shell. That what I would do.
