I am working on hemming a grad dress that has beading sewn on a netting overlay. The beads are sewn on using an invisible thread zigzagging all over at every square inch or so. I am having to tie off every thread which is very time consuming since the thread is invisible and very hard to find. I tried using fray check hoping I could just seal the thread but no luck. Would anyone have a suggestion of what else I could do? Thanks.

could you use a sheer binding of some sort as a facing? i am trying to think of the name ---Is it a tricot binding ?. Also I have been using a fusible tape which comes covered in paper on onhe side and you iron it on andthen take off the paper and fold it and iron again.. I guess its a fusible double sided tape. It can be cut to be very narrow so you might be able to use something like that Its is invisible when the paper is removed and the stickyness would be useful n holding the invisble thread of the beading.
You can also crush the beads to get rid of them which leaves the thread in place. Just be careful of the sharp pieces that can fly around.
I remember reading an article about cutting the sequins out on sequined fabric where you sew the seams and I expect that crushing the beads would be the same process. You may have to use a zipper foot if you are finishing the hem off with a machine before hemming.
