ironing pad for countertop

moski | Posted in General Discussion on

A long time ago I read about an ironing pad that could be used on a countertop… does anyone have any information about this?  Thanks in advance.

I have seen this at Nancy's Notions http://www.nancysnotions.com I think they also have some fabric you can make your own out of if you want a different size.

I think you may be referring to the June Tailor board.  It has a cutting mat on one side and an ironing surface on the other.  I have one and just love it however there are times that I wish it were a little bigger but this doesn't happen very often. I found mine at the local JoAnns.

Instead of getting out my ironing board when I want to press small items, I simply use a folded sheet on the counter. When the area I need is small, one sheet will do, otherwise I use 2 sheets, one on top of the other. (My ironing board is stored in an awkward location).
