Mystery fabric

DesignandSew | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Does anyone know anything about a foam backed fabric that is used in soft goods such as glasses cases?  The foam is thin and the fabric looks like polyester knit.  Is it neoprene?  If you know what it is, do you have a source?

What you have described sounds like auto headliner cloth to me.  I buy it at Hancock's so every place "auto" have some (just couldn't resist).  It only comes in kind of plain solid colors, but you could glue on a layer of whatever print you wanted.  Galey

It is probably headliner, I was able to get it at JoAnn's. I just used it to make my daughter a sleeve for her laptop. It is the perfect weight and thickness for a lot of projects.
