Ottobre Patterns?

pamici | Posted in Patterns on

Hello,

I’m a pretty new sewist (about 18 months) and am curious about Ottobre Designs pattern magazine. I can’t find any locally but the photos on the website look gorgeous.

My question is … will I have any idea what I’m doing once I get hold of the thing??? Will I be able to find gorgeous fabrics like they used in the magazine? About how many size options per pattern are provided?

I really want to try them but I don’t know if I’m jumping into the deep end before I can even dog-paddle.

Thanks!
Pamela

I'm new to Ottobre. I own two issues but have not sewn anything from
their patterns yet. According to the instructions page, pattern size
are chosen according to the child's height...
For example: babies 56-86 cm, toddlers 92-122 cm., girls 128-170 cm and so on.

    Between Toddlers 92- 122 cm, there are 6 sizes to choose from, 92, 98, 104, 110, 116, 122

There are some photo instructions but mostly are just words.

    Ad. on the back page:
http://www.fabricsforkids.com carrys variety of European fabrics for kids
as presented in sewing magazine like: Ottobre, Stenzo, burda...

If you want to see some pages inside Ottobre. I'm very happy to mail to you.

Oh thank you so much! This is very helpful and I would love to see a copy of one of the inside pages. I'll need to grab my kids to measure them for centimeters!
