Does anyone have an on-line source for the large sheets of professional tracing paper? A Google search isn’t helping at all.
Thanks

sewtrue.com has the grided paper, which I use only when draping. For regular patternmaking I use 36" wide tracing paper from a local art supply store.
Hope that helps. Laura
Laura,
Thanks for the reply but I think I worded my request incorrectly. I'm looking for the professional grade marking sheets, the ones to be used with a tracing wheel to mark the fabric.
SewTrue has lots of necessary offerings - and they ship very quickly!

Oh, now I get you. THAT kind of tracing paper- dressmakers carbon. In theater we used the large sheets, but I don't know where they got it from. I'm sure it was online though. I don't have a need for it in my business now. Sorry I can't help you... Laura

Burda is the only one that make decent tracing paper; you can either buy a pack of 4 (red, blue, yellow and white) or a pack of white and yellow. I have tried Saral but it smudges.
Thanks for the info on Burda, I'll give it a try. I agree about the Saral the smudging is what has me seeking an alternative. The good thing is that it is easy to remove.
Someone in pattern review site suggested 'professional transfer paper' from Greenberg and Hammer. If you do buy it I would be interested to find out how you rate it http://www.greenberghammer.com/store.asp?ItemID=1455
The professional transfer paper from Greenberg & Hammer is terrific- I use it all the time & it produces clear, strong markings. However, I use it primarily for making muslins, so I don't know whether it washes out.
Thanks; I shall order some straight away
Thank you, thank you. This is just what I'm looking for.
I am not sure what you mean by large but I was in my local JoAnn's yesterday looking for some notions and saw the carbon paper near the marking pens. They had one packet that looked very large to me... about 16" square or maybe bigger since that was the size of the unopened envelope. It was in the quilting section as well. Maybe a quilt shop would carry this.
SANDRA,
Is this what you are looking for?
