I am sewing on a thick denim like fabric. I am using a textile 40 nomex thread. I am using contrast colors, black on the top and tan in the bobbin. The problem I am having is that the black is showing on the bottom. I have changed my needles, played with the tension and I just can’t figure it out. I was hoping someone has run into this situation too.
I have included a picture to show what it looks like.
Help,
Rosa

Its gotta be the tension
Rosa, I had the same results in the past with various types of fabrics. You can try pulling your threads back and forth over the discs to ensure tightness again, and then check on the pressure adjustment to gauge the foot with your weight of fabric again, and then try sewing a length as a sample adjusting the sewing tensions about every 6 inches or 15 cm as you go. Allow your machine to run through a course of various tension changes. Good luck, I know it will turn out!
Thanks! I will give it a try, I had to walk away for today. It was one of those days. Better luck tomorrow.
Hi Rosa
I think you will find that the black tension is too loose and/or the tan is too tight. I would try not to change the tension on the bobbin if at all possible - try tightening the top (black) little by little. (Righty tighty - lefty loosey). I used to make my thread go like your picture on purpose and even looser on the top for freehand emproidery. Hope it works out for you.
