Help!!
Does anyone know if an internet source for silk jersey (knit) fabric??
A brick-and-mortar store is simply too much to hope for, but I live in Houston, and am frequently in Austin, if anyone knows of retailers in Texas who carry silk jersey.
Also: one of my daughters now lives in Shanghai, and has perused several fabric stores there, but has not yet found knits. Does anyone have ideas for me to pass on to her?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

your welcome to email me, i just love my on line store.
Have you looked at High Fashion Fabrics? I know I've seen some there in the past. They are on the corner of Louisiana & Elgin.

THANK YOU!!!
I shall go there on my way to work today.I'll let you know how the hunting went!
Just wondering if you went to High Fashion Fabrics and if you found the silk jersey. If you go to Austin frequently have you checked out Silk Road Fabrics? I don't' know exactly where they are, you can Google them, but I know there is a Central Market store across from them.!
I know Silk Road!!!
They are on N.Lamar across from Central Market, and one block south of EZ's (great Thai Chicken Pizza!)
Yes, I had thought of The Silk Road, and had thought to ask my son (a senior at UT) to look for Silk Jersey there.
Alas, the effort to explain Silk Jersey to a non-sewing techno-geek was too much for me. Far easier to just drive to Austin, and look myself.
Yesterday got away from me, so I didn't make it to High Fashion. i hope to take off work a little early today and swing by. [I live in Cypress, but work in Highland Village]
I shall report back tonight.
I live in Atascocita (just North of Houston) and I believe that's where I bought some silk jersey but it was over a year ago. Good luck on your search!

emmaonesock.com has some silk jerseys. Have you looked at thaisilks.com or dharma trading company?
Thanks!
I had not heard of emmaonesock, but I'll give her (it?) a try.
Thai silks had not had jerseys in the past, so I didn't think of them, but I suppose I should have tried them any way. Thanks.
try Thai Silks in Los Altos, CA. http://www.thaisilks.com. Get in touch with Rosie. She can help.
