My generic walking foot for my Singer 201 just fell apart while in use. It appears that all the parts are there and that it was just loose for some reason. I have searched for a picture to help me put it back together but with no luck. It seems fine after tightening it up but as luck would have it there is a part left over ! :)..If it helps any the part looks like an arm…shoulder, elbow, hand, with a hole in the shoulder part…and is about 3/4 ” long…any help with finding a picture of walking foot ‘innards’ would be appreciated…thanks for your time…Barbara

Barbara I googled Singer 201 Walking foot and got lots of pics but it looks like they're all enclosed in a box or case of some kind. Perhaps your local dealer can help you with this?
Thank you for your reply and time, Terry ! I think it may need to be returned...not sure if generic was a wise purchase! B
Hi I dont have a siger but I do have a walking foot with an elbow shape thingee on it . On my machine it rests on a protrusion which comes out on the inside of the bit which holds the needle etc .If I dont engage it my foot dosent lift up to walk its next step.
Thank you so much for your help and time.....there is a 'peg' where I tried to put it in that area but there is nothing to hold it there....I'm beginning to think the foot has other 'issues' :) B
