I think my very best garment would have to be a school prom dress I made for my granddaughter. It was for xmas of 2006. She had asked me to make her something special for her first ever dance. By the time I made all the alterations and added all the extras she wanted that weren’t on the dress pattern, I just made it in time. Then they changed it from a nighttime dance to an after school dance. Everyone else went in just their regular school clothes but she made sure she wore her fancy gown that grandma had made for her. It really made us both very happy.

I have to say that my best garment was one I made when in high school. I was completely in love with this plaid fabric and although I didn't know how to match plaids (at all) I had to make this two piece outfit - a drindl skirt and a bolero vest. I knew plaids had to match but none of mine did. Each time I wore this outfit with a white blouse, stockings and my pumbs I felt so very dressed up and special. No one ever made a comment about the plaid not matching, maybe no one noticed. This is still my fondest memory of a garment that I made even though long, long ago.
