Hi all,
Was wondering if you could share any experience with peachskin? Is it difficult to sew? Press? DD wants a button-up blouse in peachskin, collar, darts. I’ve never made a blouse like this before and am concerned about the poly. I prefer the forgiveness of natural fibers when trying new things! Any thoughts?
Thanks,

My experience is that Peachskin can be a little difficult to work with. You definitely want to use a Microtech needle (for microfibres). Use a new one and if it gets dull during the project, cange it. Also use cotton thread, loosen your thread tensions a bit and stretch the fabric as you sew it as it tends to pucker. Lengthwise seams are the most likely to do this. I also use a smaller stitch length - 1 1/2 - 2 mm. Good luck! Peachskin is lovely when it's sewn up.
Thanks for the input!!! Defnitely helps. Just wondering, though, why cotton thread? :)
Cotton thread doesn't stretch as it goes through the sewing machine mechanisms so helps to prevent puckering once the seam is sewn. A couple other tips that I thought of afterwards - use fine sharp pins to pin and make sure your scissors are really sharp otherwise cutting will be difficult. Hope these help!
I would use a walking foot too as the layers move on each other.
