Wrinkle resistant fabric

Judith | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

HI,

I am looking for fabric sources for fabric that is guaranteed not to wrinkle.  Any help would be appreciated.

I don't  have an answer to your question, but also have a wrinkle resistant question.

I have several wrinkle resistant cotton shirts which need altering. Upon adding darts , I cannot get the seamlines to press flat.  I have tried heat and lots of steam and vinegar to no avail.

    HELP!

You may want to use a wooden clapper or pounding block to help set the crease correctly. First steam the area over a tailor's ham and then hold the wooden block firmly on top until the fabric is cool. You should be able to get them flat this way.

Just a note: cotton is made wrinkle-resistant by adding formaldehyde -- if anyone has any health concerns.
