This pattern is a Sandra Betzina Todays Fit #8043. I made it in a wool/cashmere blend that I purchased at Paron’s Fabrics in New York. The fit of the jacket is exquisite and I hope to sew more versions in perhaps a boucle.

Very pretty! Looks like you did bound buttonholes too! I'd love to see them close-up and I like the black contrast.
Thanks for the compliments. I did do bound buttonholes. They are easy to achieve and line up perfectly if you follow Sandra Betzina's method in her DVD, "Foolproof Buttonholes". She told a group of us that she learned it from a woman who does them for a small apparel firm. They were perfect and Sandra wanted to know how she did it. I used the technique for the breast pocket, too.
A beautiful eyecatching suit, and I think you are right it would be lovely in a boucle as well. I am curious about your lining? Did you find a pink to match?
I lined both the jacket and skirt in matching pink charmeuse. The collar binding was a technique I found in the book "Couture" by Roberta Carr. It is called "magic binding" because it really isn't bound...check it out!
Great looking suit. Love the contrast and the bound buttonholes.
VERY nice. I like this one a lot. I wear suits every day at work and I'm liking this a lot. The bound button holes and the trim make it extra special.
I want this jacket!
