Bowser

This costume is Bowser from Mario. She enjoys Mario so we thought that Bowser would be a fun costume to make. Took a lot of time to create. I made her necklace with some black leather and super glued clay spikes that were handmade. Her shield was made out of a shield from the dollar store coverd in a green foam ninja turtle shell also from the dollar store. Hot glued it on, and covered the edges in some white tape. Then hot glued on the white spikes each made out of card stock paper, the red around the spikes were made with red air dry clay. The front of her chest was made from an old dress that I cut out and stitched. The shoulder pads were made with cut out cardboard then paper mache and the same process as the shield. Her boots were some old sequence boots she had, so I painted them green to look like scales and hot glued some cut up braclet spikes on the toes. Her tights were some old black ripped up tights over some yellow tights, which we liked because they made it look a little more rugged. The horns came from a devil headband which I took off and painted white  along with painting the rest of the spikes white. The “boo bag” which are the ghosts in Mario, was made out of felt and some old straps off a bag then I drew on the face and painted it. Then added a red felt bow.  People liked her costume and a lot of people liked her boots to. This was a fun costume to make and kind of challenging trying to attach everything but we got it to work, but  No Halloween is complete without an original homemade costume that no one else has. We were very pleased with the outcome! Happy Halloween!!!
