This shirt is inspired by a design seen on site of designer Yasmine. I used McCalls 6076 which gave me a different collar and sleeve but a shoulder princess seam like the original. The bodice is pintucked front and back in a simple design. The pintucks were worked with a double needle, pin tucking foot, and were corded with perle cotton.
I am glad I used this pattern as I much prefer the neckline and sleeve option and think they are more flattering and more to my sense of style. This was not difficult to do. More of the construction can be seen on my blog at http://lasewist.blogspot.com.
The fabric is 100% cotton oxford cloth in a black and white warp and weft that reads gray.
Well I love everything about this blouse. Yes, that collar works very nicely with your pin-tuck design. You've inspired me...
I really love this blouse, will have to try my luck at making something similar. Thanks for sharing.
A subtle garment, brilliantly inspired and executed. I wish I had a dozen of them in my closet. I am delighted to see a garment that can be dressed up or down, worked in everything from silk dupioni to oxford, and flattering to just about any figure. Your work is an inspiration.
I like your effort
