    I've used this and love it--especially since I can't do the wrap-around-the-finger one. However, you don't need anywhere near as many wraps as she shows. One for basting. Two for regular sewing. Three for a really secure knot.

    I agree with Hampton300. I have been using this knot for years, didn't know it was a "quilting knot".
