This loose-fitting men’s shirt with optional inset panels is loaded with creative opportunities. It has a one-piece camp collar, button front, left breast pocket, side seams sewn in a continuous line with the sleeve, and side slits at the hemline. There are three views. One has a plain front and a breast pocket. Another has a contrast right-front inset panel and a contrast band at the breast pocket top. The third view has contrast, centered, inset panels. This is a great look for a backyard cookout, summer holiday party, or any other casual setting where you want to look put together. The sewing is easy and quick, as no trimming is needed due to the 1⁄4-inch-wide seam allowances. Our tester did not find mention of which direction to press the side seam allowances, but on a later illustration, they are shown pressed toward the back. Select island cottons, tissue linen, broadcloth, chambray, challis, and rayon.
(Sized Men’s S-XXL for chests 34-52 in.)
Style Tip: Look at quilting cottons for more printed fabric options.
