buttonhole elastic

jyang949 | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Do any of the chain stores carry buttonhole elastic? All the sources I’ve found are mail-order.

Also, what is “plush elastic”? Greenberg & Hammer is out of stock on regular buttonhole elastic. They have “plush” elastic in stock but it is imported and so costs more. Is plush somehow better?

Here's a link to the plush elastic:

It doesn't say anything about fiber content.

The link is to buttonhole elastic, so you might want to redo that.

Plush elastic has a soft, fuzzy side. It's good for lingerie uses, like waistbands, or bras, because it is somewhat absorbent and feels less irritating.

Thanks for the explanation. Guess I don't need the plush kind for waistbands. Most of it will be cased and the part that sticks out will probably be against a tucked-in shirt, not skin.Janet
