Has anyone read and used “Creative Surface Design” by Sandy Scrivano? I’m considering buying it, but I’d live to have some opinions/reviews before I spend the money. Thanks in advance.

I own this book. I very much enjoyed reading it. Great pictures and examples for inspiration.
I've done stencilling and stamping, not tried the other two techniques (painting and embossing).

I have several books on the subject of surface design, this being one of them. I don't know if you've had the opportunity to thumb through the book in person, or if you've just lusted after it online. Basically, it does a very nice job of giving clear, concise, but somewhat generalized instructions. For me, this book serves as a great "inspiration" book. I haven't really used it too much to learn the techniques, as I have other books that go into more depth than this one does.

When I am lusting after a particular book particularly sewing/needle arts, I search it out at my local library. Most of the time they have the book or are willing to purchase it for you. I can then review the book at no cost and assess whether it is worth the purchase for my personal library!
