Denver National Quilt Festival
Denver National Quilt Show is this week. I went today and may go back tomorrow if I get enough done on the Mother’s Day quilt I’m muddling through. It was fun to see all the incredible talent and creativity and skill in the quilts.
I shed a few tears viewing the Alzheimer’s quilts. People really pour thier hearts into these, often from thier personal struggles with family members and as caregivers. The proceeds from a CD they offer goes to fund research into this terrible disease.
The vendors had everything from soup to nuts! Lots of books and patterns and textiles and tools and embellishment fibers and such.

How much longer will the quilt show go on? My sister lives in Longmont - teaches in Loveland- and loves to quilt. I want to be sure she know about it.
May 3-6. Denver Merchandise Mart on I-25, take 58th Ave. exit. It's on the east side of the highway. http://www.quiltfest.com is the website for Mancuso Show Mgt. then chose Denver National Quilt Show, it takes you to thier website where all the info is. They have workshops and lectures too. She would love it!
$12.00 admission or $10.00 for Sunday only. You have to take cash or check for admission but the vendors seem to be taking my charge card happil
Wish I had room for a longarm quilting machine. I am really enjoying learning to quilt, there is so much more to it than I ever imagined! I've done some little items and clothing and crib/childrens applique quilts but this is my first serious endeavor with it.
