I felt sure there was an article in prior issue of Threads about making
Dorset buttons but I cannot find it anywhere. I have found an article on
the web but wondered at others experiences with making them?

Hello Lucy
The info is in Threads #33. I've used these buttons on knitted jackets; they also work well on jackets sewn of tweed or boucle fabrics. Several years ago I bought some plastic 'frames' to make them, in England, I think. They're a kind of spoked wheel that you weave the yarns through.

You're most welcome - I enjoyed looking through the old copies to find it.
