Double faced silk duchess satin

user-604699 | Posted in Fabric Guidance on

I am constructing a bridal gown with double faced silk duchess satin.   Due to a flaw in the original yardage, I had to order a couple extra yards for the center front pattern piece.  Is there an easy way to identify nap direction on the new yardage so it matches the direction of original yardage?   I’ve tried hanging two pieces going in different directions but I cannot see a difference.  Thanks Linda

Try looking at it in the sunshine. Hang it up and backup to look.
