tips for sewing Liberty Tana Lawn

I’m about to sew with Liberty Tana Lawn for the first time. Looking for advice on pre-washing (yes or no), thread, stitch length, pressing and any other tips. Thanks in advance!

I love sewing on Liberty. I pre wash in a perm press or delicate cycle. Line dry. I use a poly thread, finish most seams with a French seam. Lots of pressing. Happy sewing!
Always pre-wash fabric, unless it's a type of fabric that shouldn't be washed at all. I would probably dry it in the dryer as well, although I have not yet used the pieces of Liberty Lawn that I've purchased. I feel that it is an insurance policy against accidental drying (and likely shrinking) after it's made.

I just made my son a dress shirt out of Tana Lawn, and I washed it on normal and tumble dried the fabric beforehand, even though I wash the shirt on delicate and hang dry it.
I also used poly thread and ended up doing flat felled seams on the sides although I considered doing French seams. Most dress shirts have flat felled seams, and I was going for the most professional look possible.
Always pre-wash the way you will launder the garment after wearing. My fabric goes from the shopping bag or shipping box straight into the washer! I take my time to enjoy it afterwards. Love the smell and feel of freshly washed fabric!
