What are the most important measurements to take in order to figure out the best dressform size? I am very small, and may need a child’s form. Besides back neck to waist, and maybe shoulder to shoulder, what measurements determine a more perfect fit? (I know I’ll need to pad it, but want to start right.) Thanks for any suggestions.

You are wise to start with the back waist measurement as this would be difficult to change on an adult form. Then have all your measurements handy - bust, waist, hips.shoulder to shoulder across the front and back and also your neck. Then start comparing to available forms.

Thank you so much!
focus on your favourite part
consider the style of clothing you prefer and focus on that part as the major asset for your dress form. if you like garments that center around the bust for instance, then that part of the bodice would be the important fit for your dress form. if you prefer the waist, but focus on that. Being small myself, I know that it is difficult to get a smooth seamline because of the curves and the short lengths and I dont go through a lot of styles or shapes but I need a definite fit.
