Hi Birdmama,
I would love to ask you to expand on your question to us a bit....
Like do you want any speciality DVD's like fitting or pants, jeans, couture..things like that
Or do you want just general beginning sewing DVD's...
I know there are a lot out there and a lot are on specific things that you want to do...zippers/ to name one..
So with that said
I found a great serious from Expo this year and I assuming that a lot of other sewers already knew this, but it is new to me
Sandra Betzina has a "Power Sewing Skill Series" I just happened to get her #9 in that serious "Jeans Couture" I loved the way this DVD is laid out and wow she is an excellent teacher and how she breaks it done in simple terms and such....I would love to get all of them but of course money...but in time..

You are very welcome.
I have rented Roberta Carr's Couture Techniques twice and found it helpful. It covers topics such as piping, triangular buttonholes, and bias binding. The presentation is very clear. Best of luck to you.
Sandra Betzina has a really wonderful video called PANTS THAT FIT. I assume it is now on DVD. I'm not easy to fit, but as a result of that video I learned how to make the best fitting, most comfortable pants I've ever had. Part of the reason was that she uses Burda patterns in the video.
