I've heard that the weather "sucks" in the UK.  But, the people seem so patient and loving.  Glad to have you on with us, are you doing any projects now?  What are you doing?

I've just finished fixing myself a skirt- that I actually bought, but it had elastic in the waist which I hate, so I put in a zip. and next I have a skirt that use to be my G.Mum's all so with elastic and quit wide- so now its in cleaned ironed pieces waiting for my time- going to make it a midi pencil skirt with some ruffles on the bottom.

Should take pics and upload them really...

What are u doing? Do u just like sewing or have you learnt it? And where r u from?

That sounds great.  We will all be watching for the pics.  And I love skirts with ruffles at the bottom.  Flirty and fun to wear.

Actually, I'm painting and redecorating my apartment.  I've known how to sew for 41 years.  Just whatever I want and feel like tackling.  I started in high school, made special occasion outfits for my best friend and I.  One gown.  Some things for my son when he was very young.  I've also known how to crochet and knit for 47 years and crocheted my first sweater in my twenties, and it was too big.  giggle.  Notice that I've said "I've know how" to do these things, because I am not a seamstress and I don't know everything, and am not as proficient as the women on this site.  I've never taken it that seriously, I've only done what I want, when I want, and for who I want.  I dabble in lots of crafts.  So I'm all over the place.

Looking forward to talking to you as I have all of the other talented people here at Gatherings.  It's fun, informational and gives me the type of people to talk to that understand what I'm talking about.  giggle.
