Love it!! The colors are gorgeous. Did you start with fibers? What will this be? Part of a garment, purse, art? Details, I would love details!!!
art garment...it's hard to decide. I would like to be able eventually to make these smallppieces this one is about 5 by 7 and embellish them more and just frame them as art... but many people want function and I want what pleases me, how do you decide?
Yummy, yummy! I am drooling for details too. I can see a bag out of this. What are you seeing?
Very pretty. It looks like a scarf. Is it?

it started as an experiement ... I dyed the wool and now I am leaning towards it being the front flap of a small shoulder bag, but after this one I will make a long wool muffler scarf with ornamentationand fringe at the edges using this technique.
Ihave a larger block of felt i made two days ago that is about 12 inches square, it's drying and blocking now and that will become a pillow with some three dimensional flaps for textural interest.
Thanks for the positive feedback I am very new to this and needed reassurance.
Oh, my, those colors are beautiful together. I can see it as a simple wall-hanging, but it would be so tempting to use it in a bag or garment that could be more widely shown off!
Where do you get the wool? This project is awesome. Would look great as a front flap on a bag.
i buy roving , dye it myself and felt it.
this piece is of unbleached black wool with the grease and locks still in it. it's noy finished yet.
