I am trying to make a baby bag for my sister. My reference has been Petunia Pickle Bottom bags. She and I are both kind of sporty so we like the backpack idea. And since it will be past down to me when I have my first, I want it to be really good. All the laminate and oilcloth seem real shiny and prints aren’t that, well, our style. I’ve heard you can glaze fabric to help repel water and to help make it more stable. But I don’t want it to be shiny! Any suggestions? I could use all the help I can get. Oh, and did I mention I’ve only been sewing for 6 months. So give me lots of detail. I greatly appreciate it!
