I am looking for a sewing machine, and my local dealer has a Janome 3000 for what appears to be a good price? Is that a good machine for home dec, machine quilting, etc? I can’t find out much about it online? Is it a discontinued model?

have you gone to janome.com? janome/new home machines are good quality machines. have you tried it out. IMHO you can't go wrong with the brand....I have three!

*I recently bought a Janome 3000 and I love it! I haven't tried machine quilting but it does a great job with garment construction, decorative stitches, free motion embroidery and home decorating projects.
